Jimmies Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
The Charm City Jimmies handed the Charlotte Flyers a 6-5 defeat in 13 innings at Family Dollar Field. Shortstop Lúcio Guevara starred for Charm City. He was 2 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Augusto González came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Jason Gómez notched his 1st save of the season.

Edgardo Reyes came through with a big-time hit for Charm City. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Reyes. "I like it."

The first-place Jimmies have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
