The Louisville Sluggers weathered an outstanding game by Omaha designated hitter Jorge Delgado to topple the Cyclones, 11-5. Delgado went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Louisville pitcher Frank Geddes got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Kauna Fabiano got the loss. Their 72-90 record puts the Sluggers 5th in the Frick League Heartland Division.

Don Hale, who is tied for 10th in the FL with a .359 on-base percentage, chipped in a 2-run home run for Louisville in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
