Bikini Slaps 4-2 Loss on Portland
|
Keith Williams was instrumental in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Portland Lumberjacks. The shortstop was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bikini Krill. Bikini reliever Tony Vásquez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-6. Victor King was saddled with the loss. Winston Morris, credited with the save, is now 31 for 33 in save opportunities.
Bikini took a 3-2 lead on Ramón Sánz's 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Sánz hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Portland pitcher Victor King shaking his head.
"I like our moxie," said Krill manager Kate Fiscus.
Bikini has now won 3 straight, while the Lumberjacks have lost 3 in a row.
