The Valencia Stars defeated the Sacramento Mad Popes, 8-4. Doing his part was shortstop Bailey Sang, who was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Valencia pitcher Shiro Takahashi got the win. He's now 7-15. Dave Cain was tagged with the loss. The win puts Valencia at 58-104.

Gabriel Bacaloglu drove in one run for Valencia. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dave Cain. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Sang told the Valencia Times. "It's as simple as that."
