Bluebirds Shut Out Bears, Ortíz Winner
|
Fans at Les Paul Field witnessed the Nashville Bluebirds blank the San Fernando Bears, 3-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Armando Ortíz. The Nashville right-hander allowed 2 hits in recording the shutout.
"Armando was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Nashville manager Brent Ross said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
This season, Ortíz has compiled a 10-2 record with a 2.79 ERA.
