Taine Helps Monarchs Win, 9-5, with Pair of Homers
Behind the bravura of shortstop Mika Taine, the London Monarchs topped the Tokyo Pearls by the score of 9-5. Taine belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Monarchs. London has run its win streak to 7 consecutive.

With London leading 4-2 in the top of the seventh, Taine came up to bat against Tokyo pitcher Hughie Dunstone. Taine hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 16th home run of the season put the Monarchs on top, 8-2.
