Fighting Centaurs Popped by Monarchs, 6-3
|
The London Monarchs picked up a win at London Stadium, taking down the Athens Fighting Centaurs, 6-3. Starting pitcher Boulos Naim was a big reason why. London, at 45-55, holds down 4th place in the GBC EurAsia Division.
London took a 5-2 lead on Naruhiko Okada's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Okada hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Athens pitcher Jim Achbar visibly frustrated.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Naim.
