Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sacramento Mad Popes and Bikini Krill.

Good production from third baseman Mohammed bin Mus'ad helped the Sacramento Mad Popes topple the Bikini Krill, 6-4. bin Mus'ad was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mad Popes. Sacramento starter Jamie Barber was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

There was more than one reason the Mad Popes beat the Krill, but bin Mus'ad's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"Pedal to the metal" is how Sacramento manager Fernando Pacheco described his team's approach.
