The Hawaii Tropics topped the Des Moines Kernels by a score of 5-1. Leading the way was first baseman Lorenzo Holloway. Holloway was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Tropics. The winner was Hawaii reliever Cale Cote, now 4-4. The loser was Raúl Castanelda.
