Cairo Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
Sydney registered a win at Blacktown International Sportspark by beating the Cairo Pharaohs, 2-0. Pitcher Will Griffin was one reason why the Sharks triumphed. The Sharks improved their record to 51-73 with the win over Cairo.

Isat Kasturirangan had a big run-scoring double for the Sharks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sydney leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a forkball from Dana Pualani, who is tied for 4th in the GBC in innings pitched with 153.2, and swatted a double to center. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sharks ahead, 2-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Cairo manager James Monger.
