Jerusalem Listless in 8-0 Loss
|
Starting pitcher Samuel Vankrimpen fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Moscow Thunder Bears stymie the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers, 8-0. With the win, Moscow upped its record to 66-61.
In the bottom of the sixth, Moscow left fielder Godofredo Chucha had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Chucha stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 4-0, Moscow. For the game, he went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Alfredo Cuellar.
