A 4-RBI performance from second baseman Dave Ackerman, who led the JL in home runs with 46 last year, led the Charm City Jimmies to a win over the Austin Shredders, 8-4. Seung-jin Cho, now 4-3, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Charm City, at 53-28, is 5 games up in the Johnson League Atlantic Division.

Charm City took the lead on Ackerman's 11th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Chris Lacey in the bottom of the seventh, made the score 7-4, Charm City.

Ackerman told a Charm City Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
