In a tight tilt between the Atlantic City Gamblers and the Calgary Pioneers, Brian Whitford was the deciding factor. The Atlantic City right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. The Gamblers now own a record of 39-42.

Whitford made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Atlantic City right-hander encountered little resistance from the Calgary hitters. His season record is now 7-7.
