Gamblers Earn Late 7-6 Win
The Atlantic City Gamblers picked up a win at The Ballpark at Bally's, dropping the San Antonio Outlaws, 7-6. Brian Whitford, who is the 2062 Steve Nebraska Golden Arm Award winner, was the difference-maker. The win belonged to Jesús Martínez in relief. His record improves to 5-6. Steve McFarland took the loss for San Antonio. By defeating San Antonio, the 4th-place Gamblers improved to 46-35.

Ron Phillips was the walk-off hero for Atlantic City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gamblers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Phillips.
