Round 1 Goes the Distance, Pfizer Prevails
|
The Pfizer Blues and A2O Contracting held nothing back in an entertaining Round 1 that went the distance.
In the end, it will be Pfizer advancing to the Round 2, after a 24-8 triumph in the final game at Spurs Ballpark, to wrap up the series 4-3.
The Blues players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Contracting.
Pepe Palácios was named series MVP for Pfizer. For the series, Palácios hit .444 with a .559 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 9 runs.
The Pfizer Blues will play against the MGM Gamblers in the next round. MGM won their series against the Harley Davidson Rebels 4 games to 3. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on February 28th , 2062.
