Morales, Sharks Too Much for Brisas
|
The Sydney Sharks defeated the Buenos Aires Brisas, 6-2, at Blacktown International Sportspark. Sydney was led by 25-year old third baseman Gonzalo Morales, who went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Cristo Muñóz got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Sydney has now won 4 games in a row.
Early in the game, Morales had a 3-run home run for Sydney. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Sharks on top, 3-0.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Morales told the Sydney Gazette.
