The performance of Biao Li proved critical in helping Moscow beat Tokyo, 6-5. The Thunder Bears first baseman was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Riyadi Subandrio recorded the save, making him 2 for 2. The Thunder Bears lead the GBC EurAsia Division by 2½ games.

Li contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Moscow in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Li took a knuckle curve from Jacome Kretzchner and stroked the home run to right. His 27th home run of the season allowed the Thunder Bears to leap in front, 3-2.
