The Moscow Thunder Bears overcame a pretty good performance by Sydney center fielder Mehmud Chauhan, beating the Sharks, 11-5, at Blacktown International Sportspark. Chauhan was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Their 69-70 record puts the Thunder Bears third in the GBC EurAsia Division.

The Thunder Bears got a big hit from center fielder Safwan bin Kedar. Facing Sydney pitcher Ron Fay in the top of the fifth, bin Kedar pounded a 3-run home run to center. His 16th home run of the season put the Thunder Bears ahead, 11-1.

In postgame comments to the Moscow Times, bin Kedar said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
