bin Husam al Din Hits Two Homers in 6-1 Win for Sao Paulo
|
Sao Paulo pitcher Adel bin Husam al Din had a large part in his team subduing the Johannesburg Gold, 6-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Boulos Naim, 4-10, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. With the victory, the Pilots record stands at 68-72.
With Sao Paulo leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, bin Husam al Din hit a sinker from Kiminobu Seki for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 6-1.
"No complaints from me," said Pilots manager Jesús Cabral. "I like what I saw out there."
