The Mexico City Aztecs scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the New Orleans Crawdads at The Commanders Palace. Mexico City pitcher Zach Davis held his own in the contest. The winning pitcher was Davis, now 3-7. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. Sergio Tormes earned the save, his 24th in 27 tries.

The Aztecs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Juan Schorr. For the game, Schorr went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Mexico City a 1-0 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said New Orleans skipper Luis Hernández, "and it cost us."
