Buenos Aires Sunk by Cairo, 3-2
|
Paul Carson pitched well, but his team, the Buenos Aires Brisas, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Cairo Pharaohs at Pyramid Park. Cairo reliever Steven Quinn snagged the win, upping his record to 6-1. Paul Carson shouldered the loss. The 4th-place Pharaohs lifted their record to 71-74.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Pharaohs had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when third baseman Devidasa Joardar hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Paul Carson and made the score 3-0, Pharaohs. Joardar went 1-4.
Joardar called the win "good for the psyche of this team."
