The London Monarchs got a strong performance from pitcher Germán Martínez, who stymied the Athens offense en route to a win, 7-1, at Piraeus Park. Martínez yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-3. Mahmut Binark closed it out for his 5th save.

London took a 7-1 lead on Aleksander Rakowski's 13th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Rakowski hit in the top of the ninth, left Athens pitcher Pat Rhodes visibly frustrated.
