Mad Popes Topple Black Sox with Late Rally
The Mad Popes grabbed a win, 3-1, at Vinnie Vitale Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Carlos Moya. Moya went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The win for the Mad Popes raised their record to 49-33.

Weston McMullin came through with a big-time hit for Sacramento. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Mad Popes manager Fernando Pacheco.
