Flyers Make Aztecs 7-4 Losers
The Charlotte Flyers picked up a win at Quetzalcoatl Dome, dropping the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-4. Brody Picot, who finished 3rd in the FL in ERA with 2.78 in 2056, was the difference-maker. Picot, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The Johnson League Atlantic Division-leading Flyers are 51-32.

Paul Long had a big 2-run triple for the Flyers in the top of the first inning. With Charlotte leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Johnny Nicholson and swatted a triple to left. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flyers ahead, 3-0.

"Brody was in attack mode the whole game," said Charlotte manager Walt Whitworth.
