Mean Green Heading to Round 2
|
The John Deere Mean Green "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Goodyear Tire, according to series MVP Brian Brown.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 4," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
John Deere won the final game 4-2, to wrap up the series 4-2.
Brown led his team to the series win by putting up a .375 average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 6 home runs, drove in 11 RBI and scored 8 runs.
The John Deere Mean Green don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lockheed Wings - Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalos series. Lockheed leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on February 28th , 2061.
