The Trail in Multnomah played host to some real drama.

Mynorli Gaajlimitz impressed in the 9-8 Portland win over Chicago. Gaajlimitz, who finished 3rd in the FL in batting average with .336 in 2059, was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jim Thompson, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.

Edgar Barrón was the walk-off hero for Portland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lumberjacks left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Gaajlimitz.
