Sánchez Lifts River Monsters to 6-3 Win
Octávio Sánchez knocked in 3 runs to help Twin Cities beat Portland, 6-3. The left fielder collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. The win went to Phil Cole in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sameer Abdul-Malik took the loss. The River Monsters go to 48-39, putting them 4th in the Frick League Heartland Division.

Sánchez had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Sameer Abdul-Malik, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the River Monsters a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Sánchez.

Sánchez called the win "a collective effort."
