Black Sox third baseman Jeremy Starks left his mark on his team's 6-5 win over the Twin Cities River Monsters. Starks went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Chicago in the contest. The loss drops Twin Cities to 4-5.

Starks had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Jorge Durán, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Black Sox a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Starks.

Chicago manager Rocky Wattson was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
