Phoenix got a terrific game from third baseman Mas'ud bin Salah al Din. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Atlantic City, 11-8. bin Salah al Din went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Kreshnik Bizi earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 4-0. Picking up the save was fireballing left-hander Jesús Martínez.

Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Frank Jardine to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Gamblers on top, 11-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Jardine told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."

With the win, Atlantic City has a record of 49-39. Phoenix falls to 55-33.
