The Montreal Blazers locked up a win at Ubisoft Field, knocking off the Boise Spuds, 9-3. On the mound for Montreal was right-hander Lúcio Juárez. He played a major role in the triumph. Montreal currently is in third place in the Johnson League Atlantic Division at 50-41.

Herman de Jonge had a big 2-run double for the Blazers in the bottom of the third inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 36-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Guzmán and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blazers ahead, 3-0.

"I thought Lúcio threw the ball well across the board," said Montreal manager Paul Scholes.
