Harris slugs 2 home runs, Leads Hawaii to 5-3 Win
No one was more impactful than John Harris in the 5-3 Hawaii win over Yellow Springs. Harris, who finished 4th in the FL in doubles with 42 last year, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Kinzo Iwamoto, the winner, improved to 10-4. He held Yellow Springs to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Earning his 6th save for Hawaii was Gheorghe Sollomovici.

Harris had a timely hit for Hawaii in the top of the sixth. With Hawaii trailing 3-2, he turned a 2-2 curveball into a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Hawaii.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Harris said. "And the same is true when you lose."

The first-place Tropics, at 54-37, lead the Frick League Pacific Division by 2½ games.
