Robins Sunk by Crawdads

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Cobble Hill Robins take on the New Orleans Crawdads.
The New Orleans Crawdads got a magnificent effort from pitcher John Lucas, who kept Cobble Hill hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Crawdads win at McDermott Park at Ebbets Field. Lucas got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Adib bin Nasser, who finished 3rd in the JL in on-base percentage with .405 in 2061, had a direct impact on the outcome. bin Nasser contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put New Orleans up, 2-1.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Cobble Hill manager Emílio Gonzáles said, following the tough loss.
New Orleans goes to 3-7.
