Hawaii had no answer for fireballing right-hander José Martínez. The Brook Park Brownies starter stymied Tropics hitters, helping the Brownies cruise to victory, 6-1. The Brownies go to 37-56 with the win.

Roberto Martínez had a big 2-run double for the Brownies in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Brook Park leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Álex García and swatted a double to center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brownies ahead, 5-1.

"I liked his command," said Brook Park manager Sylvester Reed. "José was throwing strikes."
