5 Hits for Frogs Shen
|
Kyoto center fielder Eng-hee Shen could do no wrong in his team's 11-2 win over the Huskies, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Huskies skipper Javier Francisco said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Shen agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Eng-hee Shen singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ulesi Delai in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Keilan Edemona in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
On the year, Shen is hitting .378 with 14 hits, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, .410 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
