Dunn Field was the site of the home opener for the Valencia Stars. The contest featured a prime matchup between Paul Worboys of the visiting Bikini Krill and Shiro Takahashi of the Stars. The final score was 7-4, the Krill getting the win. Shu-de Sa turned in the best performance. Winston Morris finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Iván Quintana came through with a big-time hit for Bikini. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It never gets old," said Quintana. "Winning, that is."
