Austin right fielder Takanobu Komatsu pounded Cape Fear Swamp Foxes pitchers at Blackwater Field, but it was not enough to keep the Shredders from falling, 8-4. Komatsu belted 2 home runs. Micah Harrington earned the win, while 36-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Lacey took the loss for Austin. Cape Fear is now 44-51, Austin 33-62.

Félix Parreno, who is a four-time All-Star, took Austin hurler Chris Lacey deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Swamp Foxes on top, 6-3. In all, Parreno had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Swamp Foxes manager Francisco Catazara.
