Multi-HR Day for Gallehos as River Monsters Overpower Tropics, 8-4
|
The Twin Cities River Monsters topped the Hawaii Tropics, 8-4, with youngster Raúl Gallehos playing a key role. Gallehos slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the River Monsters in the win. Picking up his 8th save was former first round draft pick Andrés Gonzáles. Twin Cities has now won 4 straight.
Miller Shed was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for Twin Cities. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Utkan Göçek. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Gallehos told the Twin Cities Times.
