Sluggers Rally to Win
|
The Trail in Multnomah was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Louisville Sluggers and Portland Lumberjacks.
Behind a fine performance from Don Hale, the Louisville Sluggers knocked off the Portland Lumberjacks in 12 innings, 8-7. Hale went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Sluggers. The win went to Darrel Burns in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Erasmo González took the loss.
Louisville took the lead, 8-7, on Zeke Jewers's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Portland pitcher Erasmo González in the top of the 12th.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Mons Raider. "But it's got to translate into wins."
The slumping Lumberjacks have dropped 7 in a row.
