Getting an impressive start from Jerry Stone, Twin Cities beat Des Moines by the score of 8-2. The Kernels fall to 4-6 and continue their rocky start to the 2062 season.

Carlos Marcillas had a big 2-run double for the River Monsters in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Twin Cities leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Max MacNair and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Monsters ahead, 5-1.

"When Jerry is on, he can really move the ball around," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt.
