Flyers Lose to Shredders in Walk-Off
The inspired effort of Charlotte second baseman Domingo Chávez was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the Austin Shredders. Chávez was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Nelson Middlebrooks, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. The loss makes Charlotte 60-40.

Austin got a knockout punch from Enrique Galván. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was jumping at the end," Galván said.
