Mounties Topple Kernels with Late Rally

Vancouver second baseman Oskar Lojdahl had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Des Moines Kernels, 7-4. Jesús García was credited with the save for Vancouver, his 19th of the season. Vancouver is now 52-48. Des Moines is 59-41.
Lojdahl had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 sinker from Scott Everard, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Mounties a 6-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Lojdahl.
"Solid performance from our side," said Mounties manager Hung-k'uei Cui.
