The Twin Cities River Monsters picked up a win at Forever Field, knocking off the Bikini Krill, 6-2. Starting pitcher Erik Brooks was a big reason why. Twin Cities reliever Jorge Durán was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was John Hurry. Getting the save was Peter Fuller, his 20th.

Twin Cities used the clutch hitting of Niaz Minhas to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the River Monsters ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I thought we played a nice game," Brooks told the Twin Cities Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The win for the River Monsters raised their record to 61-39.
