Echevarría Slaps 5 Hits
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Rafael Echevarría is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Porto Alegre Patos at Asuncion Park. The monster effort from the 27-year-old designated hitter helped the Asuncion Banditos get the win, 18-0.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Patos manager Roogan O'Mulvany. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Rafael Echevarría singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eleuterio Peixeiro in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

So far this season, Echevarría is hitting .346 with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 81 at-bats and a .407 OBP.
