Hebrew Hammers Beaten By Pearls, 4-2
|
Good production from third baseman Tristan Lloyd helped the Tokyo Pearls topple the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers, 4-2. Lloyd was 3 for 4 with 3 singles for the Pearls. The winner in relief was Seth Nagaswamy. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The victory gives Tokyo a record of 99-59.
With the game tied, 0-0, in the bottom of the sixth, Lloyd had a key at-bat for Tokyo. With a runner on 3rd, Lloyd hit a run-scoring single off Ed Noble, making the score 1-0, Pearls.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Lloyd.
