Pilots Rally to Nose Past Sydney
The Sao Paulo Pilots did just enough to sneak past the Sydney Sharks, 4-3, at Ballpark of Bucharest. Sao Paulo designated hitter Amin Asim, in particular, had a standout performance. Sao Paulo reliever Wene Amosa snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Slawomir Trzcinski shouldered the loss. The win hiked the Sao Paulo record to 83-79.

Sao Paulo got a clutch hit from Sulayman Sami. The catcher launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"This wasn't a good win," said Asim. "It was a great win."
