Sluggers Nipped by Krill, 4-3
|
The Bikini Krill picked up a win at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium, topping the Louisville Sluggers, 4-3. On the mound for Bikini was left-hander Nelson Williams. He played a principal role in the triumph. Winston Morris notched his 18th save in 19 chances. The Krill now have a record of 58-48 with the win over Louisville.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Félix Moreno? The Bikini first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Krill on top, 2-0. For the game, Moreno had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nelson pitched his heart out," said Bikini manager Kate Fiscus.
