Cyclones Rally Late to Nip Bears
The Omaha Cyclones had to overcome a fine effort from San Fernando pitcher Jerry Richards to win, 5-4, at Chico's Bail Bonds Field. Richards went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Troy Andrews claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 5-0. Dave Ferrell was credited with the save for Omaha, his 23rd of the season.

Omaha used a timely hit from Stan Lodge to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," San Fernando manager Gonzalo Escobar said, following the tough loss.

The victory puts Omaha at 43-63.
