Aubry Slaps 6 Hits
A jubilant Graham Aubry joined the postgame press conference at Jackson Grounds to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Richmond Panthers pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Pasco Platypus right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-8 hitting performance, which led to the 10-8 Platypus win.

"He made it look easy," said José Bernard, manager of the Panthers. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Graham Aubry grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Felipe Cummings in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th and singled in the 14th.

So far this season, Aubry has gotten 52 hits in 224 at-bats for a .232 batting average with 3 home runs. His stats include 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 59 games.
