In a low-scoring affair between the Sacramento Mad Popes and the Long Beach Surfers, pitcher Mario Reyes was the difference between victory and defeat. The Sacramento left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Mad Popes win. Don Jordan finished the game for Sacramento and earned his 2nd save.
