Mangrum Spins No-Hitter Against San Angelo
Tortuga Tides starter Alfred Mangrum came up big at Lone Star Ballpark with an exceptional 11-0 win against the San Angelo Missions. Not only did he whip them, but Mangrum held them hitless, too.

"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Mangrum. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."

In the course of the no-hitter, Mangrum collected 8 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.

To date this year, Mangrum has compiled a 10-2 mark with a 2.47 ERA in 14 starts.
